Service was great, but I'd like to be able to see my receipt with a breakdown of all costs with my invoice. And on the receipt making it more clear what was discounted from the Club Care Card.

I have lost my trust in your business. I brought my car in (November 2020) as it was making odd noises when I turned and was having problems starting. You changed the front struts/checks, did full diagnostics on the electrical system, did a mechanical inspection, replaced the battery, performed an induction service. All in all $2,000+ in repairs and cost. Not only did the noise from turning not stop, the car was still having problems starting. I decided to bring the car back in. My most recent visit, March 2021. As was normal, I called to schedule a time to drop off the vehicle but was not informed that just checking this out would be a cost - especially after I had already paid ~$80 for diagnostics on the electrical system in November. After several days of work, your team was unable to locate or diagnose the problem and we were left with a new ~$90 bill. Please keep in mind that this payment was not communicated until your team was “done.” I expressed my disappointment and the rep I spoke with deferred blame to someone else and noted your team’s “expensive equipment.” While I understand work was performed, there is no excuse for poor communication and finger pointing. I then had to take my vehicle to another mechanic we had previously used. The only reason we do not go here anymore is that it is further away. While they did find the problem challenging, they were able to effectively communicate any and all charges ahead of time. It turns out the starter motor had a crack in it - something I would think would be obvious performing full diagnostics on the electrical system. Needless to say, I am still disappointed as I thought we had found a good shop to work with that was closer. This was a sour interaction with your team that I think was preventable.

Never disappoints! Staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable. Most recently I had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Beth. She explained each step to me and let me know what the technicians were doing and more importantly why they were doing it. I am told that the technician Caleb was the one to work on my car, and everything is running smoothly!

I've been to G&C a few times before. I always thought they were okay. You generally don't know how an auto service runs itself until they make a mistake. In my case, I took my car to G&C for an oil change a couple months back. It turned out there was a problem with my oil filter seal, causing a notable oil leak. I took my car to the dealership and they showed me a video of the oil dripping off the car's underbody onto the shop floor. The dealership mentioned it may have been caused by improper oil filter installation, or it could be a defective seal. The car was not damaged as the leak was small, but it did make a mess. The dealership quoted $350 to clean my car and $25 for a new oil filter. I took the failed seal and dealership report back to G&C to show them what happened. The employees at G&C quickly analyzed the situation, the failed part, and determined this could be their fault. Not only did they send me a check for the replacement cost of the filter, but they also cleaned my car's engine and underbody for free. At no point did I have to fight to get this taken care of, it was simply the default course of action. While in a perfect world my oil filter would have never failed in the first place, G&C has demonstrated trustworthiness in that they are willing to go out of their way to make things right for their customers. As a result, I highly recommend checking G&C out. Another thing I love about them is the great communication and the ability to pick up my car afterhours. Other mechanics have a lot to learn from them!
